Insights from Intel's Meeting with Morgan Stanley

On March 6, Intel's CFO, David Zinsner, spoke at a conference about the current state of Intel's business. Below is the transcript with some of my comments. I always encourage people to read the transcripts of companies they follow because these documents contain a wealth of information about a company and its industry.

A principle that keeps showing up throughout the transcript is that things are often not perfect on day one. Usually, we have to go through the process of molding our business, relationships, and mindset, like clay, until they become what we need them to be.

As we have discussed in previous writings, Intel's Management Team is rebuilding the company, so it will take time for their revenues to increase significantly. If Intel signs a new client today, it will take a few quarters before revenues from the deal appear in their financials.

We need to judge the company based on the quality of the seeds they are planting today. So far, they're building up a good pipeline of customers, they're on track with their 5 nodes in 4 years schedule, and they just got $3.5 billion from the government, with more money coming soon.

Based on the moves they're making, Intel seems to be doing well, in my opinion. Take a read of the transcript below and judge for yourself.

Life Lesson

Creating something unique and important is a process. Intel is going through this process, and we will need to go through this process when creating our unique and important project. Do not get discouraged on the journey, and always remember that everything is going according to plan.

Stay strong, stay blessed, and God willing, I will see you next week.

”The Lord gave another message to Jeremiah. He said, “Go down to the potter’s shop, and I will speak to you there.” So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over.“

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭18‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
